Every message you send is chopped into packets, stamped with addresses, rewritten by routers you've never heard of, and passed hand to hand across the planet in a few milliseconds. This site is a visual, hands-on guide to how that works, from the cable behind your desk to the routing tables that hold the internet together.

No networking background needed. It starts with what a packet is, works up through the box under your TV, and goes as deep as NAT traversal and BGP if you want to follow it there.
